INSPIRATION FOR THIS ARTWORK

This piece was inspired by a sighting I’ll never forget... a Bateleur eagle that landed right in the road in front of us in Kruger. We had a rare moment to just sit with it before it lifted off in a rush of feathers and silence.

It felt right to let the paint echo the moment: loose in some places... deliberate in others. A portrait of power caught mid-air.
