INSPIRATION FOR THIS ARTWORK

Kingfishers are a joy to paint... their electric blues and fiery oranges almost glow on paper. These two were born from the same palette, but each took their own direction. I let the watercolour move freely in places, blending texture with precision.

There’s a meditative quality in painting something so small with such intensity - one waiting, one ready to fly.
